Having the sense of sight is so powerful that even the colors that you see can affect you physiologically. Hues not only define the aesthetics of the space, but, when done correctly, they also aid the body in achieving proper rest. Blue is commonly used in bedrooms as it can bring calm and reduce tension. The right kind of blue—soft and neutral—soothes and helps people sleep. Green, being the color of nature, keeps the mind refreshed. Be mindful, though, to avoid certain greens in your dining area and kitchen as it can suppress your appetite. For such areas, reds and yellows are the better choice as they stimulate taste.
